Conditions of Internship
SHAPE will provide its interns with a monthly lump sum to cover their stay, travel and subsistence. Selected interns are responsible for their accommodation arrangements.
- Remuneration: Interns receive a lump sum of € 800 per month. The lump sum is not exempt from taxation. Interns may receive emoluments from outside sources (such as scholarships or grants).
- Travel: Interns will be reimbursed for their travel expenses on taking up duty and on leaving the service based on a return economy ticket and for an amount of up to 1,200 Euros.
Interns are required to have health and accident insurance coverage, and take care of formalities with the Belgian authorities regarding their stay in Belgium.
The sole Belgian authority competent for matters relating to the access, residence, settlement and expulsion of foreigners is the Federal Public Service of the Interior Chaussée d'Anvers 59 B, 1000 Brussels (phone: 0032 2 206 1599, http://www.dofi.fgov.be/ or http://diplobel.fgov.be/ or http://www.diplomatie.be/), or Belgian Embassies and Consulates outside Belgium.
